Today the sun enters Libra and Mabon, the Fall Equinox occurs. So, what happens at this time according to the Nature Spirits? It’s always seemed to me that winter (Yule) is generally The Elemental Kingdom’s time to take a much- needed break from their busy work schedule. If that’s so then what is the Fall Equinox’s purpose, if any, and how does it affect them as a whole? Guess the only way to find out is ask…right.
A Mabon Message
Each year there comes a time when things change, not in the way we serve, but in our reality. Although you accept these as seasonal changes, we as a kingdom, unknown to most, do not. You see this planet, and The Mother that maintains it, does not rule or carry out her work at certain given times.
Although this is true for the most part, there are those that would differ. It is true that many of the plant species you have worked with (channeled before) do rest, or go inward to renew, at given times on this planet. However, the work to maintain this place you call Earth continues, seldom ever easing. Still, the planets and the area below do align, if briefly at times, causing all of us here to release what is unnecceasy in our existences. Many will join tonight to celebrate the coming of fall, the time when those species that thrive all year finally turn inward and release what is no longer needed. You may think of this as rest, and that may well be, yet in reality, our reality, this is not so… at least not in the way that you see it. The plant or tree, water and stream, whatever point of nature you desire, is always alive, instilling within itself the need to produce what The Mother desires.
It is true that many places will see things that are only available during given ‘seasons’, as they are called, such as cooling or warming weather, rain, snow or excessive heat. Even so these things are what the planet needs at that time. Although this does not sound as ‘romantic’ (a word often used by those among you to denote fondness) as one would like, it is indeed true that what happens does so because it must. Thus, seasonal changes, and the said ‘fall equinox,’ are nothing more than a reversion to what comes next in the cycle given to the Elementals on The Mothers’ commands.
As many have seen of late, this will change. What once was (such as weather patterns, plant growth, environmental occurrences) now differs, and will continue to do so because the balance this planet deems necessary at the time is what’s needed.
Although many spiritual beings believe that each section, shall we say, of ‘the wheel’ brings with it certain things. However, it is not possible to predict this in truth because only The Mother, and her concerns for the planet that she deems necessary, will lead her towards said decisions.
Tn truth, this does not mean that ones like you should not celebrate these dates… because honoring The Earth, The Mother and The Old Ways are never wrong. Only know that as you honor this time of year and this planet that it is always changing, that what once was, is often no more. May the power within you surface at this time and bring about the changes that The Mother deems possible.
We are The Elemental Kingdom, wishing you love and peace in an ever-changing world.
In Conclusion: It seems Nature never takes a vacation, only an occasional break to release what it no longer needs… and maybe reflect on the ‘season’ (our word) that came before. It makes me wonder why we’re allowed to spend so much time on our own endeavors while nature has no other choice than to keep doing what it does. Maybe all those times I’ve sat with nature, talked with it, been a part of that world, it somehow counted this as their leisure time? Maybe letting them speak…to connect with us, is their way of relaxing. One can only hope. When I think about the fall, the changing of the leaves, the cooling weather, I feel it’s a gift, because maybe by letting go it somehow brings us closer to their world. Maybe their release is in actuality an awareness that they are passing onto our world. If that’s the case then even when they’re releasing what they no longer need, they are still working… and as always “for us.” Maybe you should think about that the next time you see a leaf fall.
